Lillie J. Harris is a cartoonist, illustrator and writer from Southern Maryland. Their debut graphic novel, Wilderness, from which this prologue is excerpted, was published in 2021. Tension and empathy are both notable themes in Lillie’s work. She also enjoys theology, horror, and “not punching down.”
